Axel Vervoordt – The perfect beauty of imperfection..

Muted tones, weathered surfaces, richly patinated antiques, and a mix of ancient and modern artworks that share abstract, universal qualities.. these are the signs of the art of Axel Vervoordt. Minimalist spaces where precedence is given to exquisite compositions of sculptural furnishings and art.. whatever Vervoordt does, it tends to be on an impressive scale.

Over the years, art has become a prominent part of Mr. Vervoordt interest. As his team, he often plays a curatorial role for clients, even continuing to make acquisitions for his foundation. Acquisitions that can range from an early-Cycladic head, more than 4,000 years old to a 15th-century Thai Buddha hand to postwar works by artists from the “Zero group” in Europe and the “Gutai Movement” in Japan, always looking for what is universal in art what is timeless,  like the work of Kazuo Shiraga, Lucio Fontana, Günther Uecker, Jef Verheyen, James Turrell or Anish Kapoor, among his few favorites.

His clients are fashinated by the Belgian antiquarian’s cerebral good taste. An early proponent of mixing antiques with contemporary art, Mr. Vervoordt creates refined interiors, linen-covered furniture, an earthy palette, old masters mixed with archeological artifacts, that reach for the sublime. It’s more than just aesthetics… every gorgeous shade of metal and earth with subtle mossy greens and sky blues thrown in for measure… the darkness has depth and texture revealing the complexity behind simple… the lightness is ethereal… everywhere we can breathe a composed peace.. a perfect balance. Only the images can do justice of the incredible work of the interior architect.. bon voyage…

A pure “Wabi-Sabi” inspirational interior design..

Wabistands for rustic simplicity, freshness or quietness, and can also be applied to both natural and human-made objects, or understated elegance… Sabiis beauty or serenity that comes with age, when the life of the object and its impermanence are evidenced in its patina and wear, or in any visible repairs. Wabi may be interpreted as the imperfect quality of any object… Sabi could be interpreted as the aspect of imperfect reliability, or limited mortality of any object.

Wabi-sabi learns us to find the most simple objects interesting, fascinating and beautiful…

  3. Granite countertops, particularly those set up in your
home is most likely the allow it to be or break it factor for purchasing or selling any
